Coopworth
The Coopworth flock was established in the 1960’s by David Hartles of Maungatoroto by crossing Border Leister and Romney Ewes. It was officially registered as a stud in 1974, and has become widely known for its leading eczema tolerant genetics, coupled with outstanding fertility, mothering ability and growth performance. Ashgrove Genetics took over the flock in 2013.

Suftex
Ashgrove Genetics purchased the Suftex flock from Peter Cook in 2018. Initially based In Kerikeri, it used to be River Run flock run alongside pure Suffolks, and Ashgrove simplified the stud by going all Suftex. No more than 30% Texel was added to maintain blackness.

Coopdale
The Coopdale flock was established in 2022 by Kerri and Alan after struggling to find the right genetics to suit their commercial farming system and breeding goals
